I have this issue where I want to "Edit Tileset" under "Extensions" but when I completely make my pick, press OK and have it save the map, I just close the map without saving it again. Then when I open again, no changes are made to terrain available in the map. Can you please tell me a solution to this issue?

This started to happen just recently, and I have no idea why it happens. Thanks in advance. It worked flawlessly before this issue.

Could you please send me your current configuration? You can do it in menu JNGP Version 2.0.X > Diagnose JNGP Settings...

Oh and yeah, I have UMSWE right now (at the time of copying this) because of cliff making and soft raise/lower tool. I personally dislike the UMSWE's sharp raise and lower tools, make things much harder to achieve with it. Other than that, regardless of it being on or off, custom tiles simply won't add up.

That's the bad thing with the latest patch, UMSWE doesn't work as it should be. I'm working in this part (very slowly due lack of time), but when I get something, I'll update the pack.

I updated WC3 to 1.28, and now JNPG launches editor only for ROC. I've forced path to the WC3 1.26a, but JNPG still launches ROC editor.

Thanks PT153 for your report. In fact I'm in the process to put some *bad* news about the new patch. By the moment, this upgrade generates conflict with some orderID (something fatal) and they're doing changes in the WC3 update system so they can make things "better" and more fluently in terms of adding new features in the game.

I've talked with some people near to the Blizzard development team, and I've received information about they're planning a new update soonish (a matter of weeks). So the conclusion is: we have to wait for the next patch, and if anyone want to mod with JNGP, please keep in patch 1.27b or 1.26a. Doing some changes in JNGP with an upcoming patch 1.29 or more in a short time, would be a waste of time.

Hi Glowackos ;)

Well, this is something hard to define. WC3 is now evolving and changing its core month by month and doing changes that only will last a few days is impractical. As soon as I see a stable configuration in the game system, I'll update a new version.

Meanwhile I'm sticking with WC3 1.27 which is a version that works with JNGP.

Well, with this patch, the things are getting too good, to the point of thinking about how to modify this tool for the upcoming updates.

To be honest: this in fact made the purpose of this tool finished. Blizzard is planning in implement all the features of jngp native. And this implies that we will be no longer needing of this tool, now that Blizzard at last has understood all the community needs.

I'm more than happy for this. By the moment we'll need some test to the new features to check which is needed to improve and suggest new features in a rational pace.

I´ve used the JNGP included action "Point - remove Location (GUI)" in some of my triggers, now where the new patch is out JNGP isn´t compatible anymore. Thefefore  I can´t open any of the maps with the standard editor due to an error of an unknown function (which is the remove Location action).

Is there any way for me to reopen and save my map again?

Is this function dependant of USMWE? if so, the only way to remove this issue is upgrading your code to pure jass and this will allow the use of the new pack called WEX.

Thanks for your answer, but I wasn´t able to do it on my own. How can i turn the code into pure jass without opening the map in WE?

The suggestions: the titles of some menus or submenus are too long in the JNGP user-interface, I suggest to use abbreviates. Likewise, the title of 'Campaign compiler' menu should be changed into 'Campaign builder'.

Welcome to wc3modding.info :)
Right now we're on the process of converting the system to the new patches, mainly in the support of WEX as an alternative to the editor. A good news is that the developer of WEX and the core of JNGP Mindworx, is now an employee of Blizzard and assigned to work on the World Editor, that means this tool will have a lot of support and features offered by JNGP and WEX in a native way, so no more third party apps.

Let's be patient for the new stuff to come.
