WarCraft III: Nirvana
on: April 30, 2013, 11:36:55 PM

Nirvana is melee mod for WarCraft III: TFT. It adds several custom races to the game without replacing any of the old ones and it can be played on any melee map. The project is focusing on renovating WC3, expanding its playability while keeping it well balanced.

Features:

- Adds 2 playable races: Naga, Ice Troll;

- New races can be selected before entering game. Each new race comes with a whole set of independent ui and sounds. (More races are awaiting to be added.)

- Tons of new units, new buildings, new heroes and new abilities.

- New models and icons(most are from hive and from the Naga's Tear campaign, some very delicate ones are made by Guo Jia :P )

- Renovations of the old warcraft3(models from WoW).

- Multiplayer is supported, can be played via lan.

Race Description:

Naga:
Naga are former highborne nighe elfs who mutanted into vengful humanoid sea sepents. Their millennia of aquatic banishment has only intensified their evil. The naga have an army composed of various races, from mur'gul to dragon turtles. Individual naga can be extreme powerful but also slow to build and high-costed.

The naga have a powerful military, though they have yet to truly make their presence felt in the world.
All naga enjoy using their aquatic natures against their foes, particularly against generals who have not fought naga. A naga commander attempts to maneuver her forces to meet the enemy on a battlefield with rivers, lakes, marshes or similar features; such bodies of water are no impediment to naga, but serve as barriers for land-based forces as well as hiding spots and roads for the naga forces. Naga infantry are stronger and tougher then most races at melee combat, but their lack of ranged weaponry (it’s not very useful under water) makes then canny about sight lines and flanking maneuvers.

Naga spellcasters draws from the most ancient arcane legacy in the world, they act as both a source of support magic for their allies and as offensive ranged punishers. They are quiet good at using their magic to incapacitate foes so the naga myrmidons can sweep in and finish them off.

All naga have an excellent recovery under the water. Due to their aquatic natures, they could absorb the essence within the water to make their wounds heal faster.

Ice Troll:
Ice Troll is a subspecies of troll that lives in cold climates. Specializes in range assault. Frost magic make them very adept at kiting. The voodoo and shaman knowledge they possessed makes them able to restrict the power of their foes and quickly recover from battle. Like other trolls, ice trolls seek to reclaim their lost empires. Under the leading of the respectable troll lord Kil'daron Bisescream, they finally got rid of the enslaveries from Lich King and start marching south to rejoin their brethren and rebuild their once great empires.

Ice Trolls are barbaric creatures of pale skin, their troll legacy and hard living conditions make them all natural hunters.
Ice Trolls military forces are similar to other trolls'; ranger type warriors, gigantic Northrend creatures and seer-like spellcasters make up their armies. Like many of the range units, they may have many tricks to avoid melee attacks, but they're also extremely vulnerable when being approached by melee units. A ice troll commander should never engage in such close-quarters combat and should always use its advantages at swiftness and long-distance attacks to kill the enemies from far.

Ice Troll spellcasters wield voodoo to curse their enemies, accompanyed with certain shaman magics that used to heal and strengthen allies. Their very good at boosting their teams with various kinds of totems. Totems are very powerful but can be destoried by the enemies.

Although enough physical damage will kill them, ice trolls can regenerate lost limbs and heal grievous physical injuries at an accelerated rate like most of their kins, giving them a large advantage in battle.

Good news, Moyack! I have solved the problem.

The reason you had experienced weird in game issues is due to the mpq reading process of WC3. Files with a  non-default language id will have higher reading priorities.
For example, a German version of Warcraft will pick files that have German language id to read than files have default language id(which is English). This will cause certain old files overwrite the new ones in the mod.

Now that I have made Nirvana to always read the neutral lang, so this will no longer be a problem.

You can play it in lan, or in most vlan platform like Garena, just select nirvana.exe as the game program and you're good to go. ;)
