What mobile OS do you have??
on: September 04, 2013, 04:43:44 PM

The title says it all. My question, more about which is better, is why did you choose a smartphone / tablet with that OS, or if it wasn't a real reason to select a mobile device.

Thanks :)

I own 2 Android Devices, because yes and I do not have any plans of changing it (but BlackBerry's could help me and my giant fingertips).

Android-tablet and android phone. The phone are probably from the early smartphones time, as it HAS a webbrowser, but is to slow to actually use it in a sactisfying way. I don't think I would even bother to try to read the newspaper on that thing. The reason for android is however that I don't want an apple because the same reason I would never buy a Mac-computer; they have a big tendency to be highly overpriced and really doesn't seems to be worth it. Now I don't know very much about the different OS:s on tablets/smartphones, but I know Microsoft has it's own, and I've heard it's even good, but it doesn't have much when it comes to apps and such.
So, no matter, I think I will stay with Android

Wow!!! definitely Android is gaining more and more power in the world of mobile devices, and here's not the exception... I like it :)

The reason of asking is that I want to start learning a language / system to develop apps for mobile devices. Since Android is the king in this community, I'll start working with a SDK for this platform.

Now, the question is: who want to join in the learning process?? or... who has started working in this platform?

Man, I would certainly like to join in the learning process, however, I must see how much time I have. ^^

The big things takes time, the first thing is to start with with downloading the packages and in the learning process putting some goals (doing a function, a basic UI, etc) and from this will be moving to something more serious. The idea is learning one thing at a time, day by day.

I'll be slow too, RL is a shit with me.

I choose others as I don't think Ipad fits with the rest.
I use Ipad.
