I wouldn't mind having a more complex system even, if it let's us do more stuff.
the GUI idea seems quite advanced and more JASS like which kinda ruins the current idea of GUI.
new people do almost allways choose GUI because they think its easier than jass, if we make GUI 50% JASSwe only make it harder for them.

personaly I like the look and dont got much arguments against it. but for new guys :(

I hope to see it finished soon ^^
The trick is: a total set of many and many propositions and feedback. GUI is astonishing hard for any newcomer, but thanks to the verbosity in the instruction it becomes easy. Here's the same idea, but my proposal is to go into a vJASS background instead of a JASS background. If we do it in this way and offer to the user a quick support in the coding process (microexamples per command) I think we can achieve a better GUI.

I personally hate GUI, mainly because you require TOO MUCH MOUSE CLICKS. other people hates JASS for being written... that's a amtter of taste and my first (and probably improvised) proposal goes to cover both preferences.

If you keep the verbosity in the commands, we'll achieve our goal.

Yes, i hate GUI for mouse clicks, today i had to spend 5 hours doing a stupid food system clicking each fucking thing in gui T_T, jass GUI all the way.

What I really support is this, but maybe don't make it JASSy too much, newbies is as good as history when they see this.
I recommend the old WEU style where they hijack GUI and add custom scripts into actual GUI function.

I do like GUI more because it is easier to read if you dont use indexing. And I feel safer with it somehow. Even if I have to admit GUI got many flaws.

but yeah will be awesome to test the new GUI when its out.

Sometimes when you do smooth on terrain that was raised a lot will make it smooth all the terrain around it and create an artificial "mountain" but i don't want it to change all my mountain just the block i'm selecting to smooth it.

(note it worked fine in jngp 5e/ not sure if it worked well in 5d) idk why it's not working well in jngp 2.0

did you change anything about smoothing terrain?

No, I haven't touch this, but I think we can add a way to inject it in the map via an option in the JNGP 2.0 Menu.

BTW, Looking_for_help is improving TESH, so we can have an actual nice interface for JASSing and vJASSing :)

Ok, this thread has accomplished its purpose. now we'll enter in BETA STAGE with version 2.0.4. which will be found and followed  here.
