Hi my WC3 modding community:

Behold a new patch fixing several bugs in the system. According to Kaivax, they're focusing in the missing stuff not offered in the release of Reforged. Time to test...

Zug Zug!
Just a quick note to let everyone know that we have a dedicated team here focused on Warcraft III. Alongside our continued efforts to bring monthly patches with bug fixes and quality of life changes, the team is prioritizing delivering features like Ranked Ladders, Profiles, Clans, and Custom Campaigns. We’ll continue to share more details as those features are nearing release, but know we’re here and hard at work on the game.

Patch Notes
March 18, 2020

  • Naga units now have footprints in Reforged mode.
  • Random items placed using the unit palette will no longer be invisible in game.
  • Fixed animation issues with the Naga Sea Witch’s Tornado spell.
  • Magtheridon will now animate correctly when its movement speed is slowed.
  • Death Knights have been scaled down to be the correct size in Reforged mode.
  • Fixed an issue where buildings that were unsummoned mid-upgrade colistd sometimes visually persist in-game, in Reforged mode.
  • Guard Dog critters will no longer be invisible in Classic mode.
  • Fixed a bug where if a Demon Hunter died in demon form, the revive icon wolistd be the demon form icon.
  • Added the autocast frame to the Firelord’s Incinerate ability.
  • Selection circles for all the neutral ground units has been properly adjusted to fit around the unit.
  • The Blademaster’s attack animations have been updated to have less horizontal movement in Reforged mode, making it more consistent to interact with.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing certain Reforged combat sounds to be used while in Classic mode.
  • Fixed an issue where Meat Wagons sometimes did not properly play their death sounds in Reforged mode.
  • Priests and Sorceresses no longer use their blood elf model during cutscenes in “March of the Scourge” in Reforged.
  • Player heroes will always be selected when loading from sub-maps to the main map of “To Tame a Land” in Reforged.
  • Fixed a bug that colistd block progress in Gazlow’s quest in “To Tame a Land” where in certain situations the Sappers colistd not target the support columns.
  • “A New Power in Lordaeron” no longer has city gates preventing the AI from attacking the player.
  • Blood Elf Archers and Swordsmen command card icons in the Curse of the Blood Elves Campaign have been updated to have green eyes.
  • Blood Elf Lieutenants in “The Dungeons of Dalaran” now use the correct command card icon.
Custom Games
  • Smoothed the menu transition when exiting a custom lobby
  • Fixed an issue that was causing item stacking to break certain custom games.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing item stacking to not trigger item-pickup events in scripting.
  • Fixed an issue that colistd cause bridges to desync when a client with Reforged graphics played with another on Classic graphics.
  • When using custom hotkeys, Warcraft III Reforged will now also check a user’s keyboard locale layout in-game, in addition to English. This enables the usage of non-English characters in CustomKeys.txt.
  • The selection volume for units affected by Cyclone and Tornado spells is now more accurate.
  • Fixed a bug where debug text wolistd appear when using certain abilities in some locales.
  • Corrected the Necromancer Initiate tooltip to mention Raise Dead instead of Cripple.
  • Doodads with invalid/not-found model path will be invisible in game now instead of shown as a green box. They are still shown as a green box in the editor.
  • Improved performance when using terrain-deforming abilities in Reforged mode.
  • Fixed an issue that caused flickering for some effects when viewed through fog of war in Reforged mode.
Non-Ladder Maps
  • Fixed an issue with some creeps that was causing them to be invisible on Jungle Fever and Rice Fields.
User Interface
  • Fixed an issue on listtrawide screen displays that caused menus to be misaligned.
  • Fixed item tables for certain creeps on Timbermaw Hold and Market Square.
    • Kobold Geomancers now drop a Level 1 Powerup on Market Square.
    • Satyr camps guarding gold mines now drop a Level 3 Permanent and Level 2 Powerup on Timbermaw Hold.
    • Dragon camps now also drop a Level 2 Powerup on Timbermaw Hold.
  • The following maps have been reactivated on ladder: Ruins of Stratholme (3v3), Banewood Bog LV (4v4), and Fountain of Maniplistation (FFA).

Definitely, they have to move to fix the terribles desyncs issues in a NORMAL MELEE Competition, due to the graphic part.

WC3 reforged has just been upgraded today!!

Let's hope it works softer then in the release date.

Changes and Bug Fixes

Audio levels for some dialogue have been adjusted.
The animations, triggers, and cameras for some cutscenes have been tweaked.
Fixed multiple campaign missions that had units appear invisible.
Multiple inventory issues have been fixed for the Rexxar campaign.
Fixed multiple bugs throughout the Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne Campaigns
Updated the cutscene cinematic panel to transition cleanly between conversations.
Fixed issues making Twilight of the Gods in the Reforged campaign easier to complete than intended.
Tyrande’s inventory will no longer be absent on the Daughters of the Moon and The Awakening of Stormrage missions in the Classic campaign.
Custom Games
Fixed multiple missing assets that were impacting Custom Games.
The Custom Games list has been updated to better optimize searching.
Fixed an issue where if a player quit multiple games and switched graphic settings, the user would get a “Match Found” but the game wouldn’t start.
The Female Demon Hunter now uniquely metamorphosizes to her own model.
Fixed an issue with Tranquil Paths where creeps were invisible.
Updated the Firelord’s Incinerate ability icon in Reforged. It can still be auto-cast as normal.
Guardian Golem now has an auto-attack impact sound.
Fixed an issue where the Blademaster was immune to non-magic abilities like Ensnare while using the Bladestorm ability.
Lady Vashj has a small update to her head to address her human ears.
Succubus models are now visually distinct.
Fixed an issue where new Reforged death sounds were playing in Classic Mode.
Three maps have been temporarily removed from their respective map pools due to instability: Ruins of Stratholme (3v3), Banewood Bog LV (4v4), and Fountain of Manipulation (FFA). They may return once the issue has been resolved.
Players are now able to leave the matchmaking queue in versus mode.
Fixed an issue with team members entering a broken state when cancelling queue while the team is disbanded.
When a player leaves a match, remaining players no longer receive the additional message “Blizzard has left the game.”
Transitioning from cinematics to a mission no longer briefly displays campaign selection.
Battletags now consistently show for team invites in the user interface.
Map Vetos now save for Versus FFA Mode.
Ultra-Widescreen is now a viable option in the options menu.
The Grid Hotkey option now works correctly for campaign and hero units.
Multiple localization fixes for text, subtitles, and truncation have been addressed in campaign and online play.
Added Squelching to chat channel functionality.
Fixed multiple portrait issues with units in both campaign and online play.
Fixed an issue where melee-only abilities were showing up as hidden in the editor when using custom data.
Fixed a crash that could occur while playing campaign, versus, or custom games with the ‘Low’ texture setting.
Fixed a crash that could occur in systems with a high number of logical processors.

Hello my dear WC3 Community:

Today IS the day, 28/01/2020 is the day when Warcraft 3 starts a new era: we're now in Reforged mode!!!

If you haven't bought Reforged... what are you waiting for??

After a long time been in beta mode, and taking more time then promised, we have this new awaited version with a huge hype for testing the old and well remembered WC3 campaign, with new cinematics (hopefully), new interface, new model style and much more to get impressed (we hope so)...

(Psst... probably you can notice I haven't finished downloading the game)

Warcraft III: Reforged Patch Notes
Version 1.32 – January 28, 2020

Relive the events of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne with Warcraft III: Reforged. Experience the epic origin stories of Warcraft, now more stunning and evocative than ever before, with vivid recreations of every hero, unit, building, and environment.

Battle .net
  • Install, update, and launch Warcraft III from the Blizzard Battle .net app.
  • Includes integrated Groups and Chat.

  • Restored three prologue missions from the original Warcraft III Demo: Riders on the Storm, The Fires Down Below, and Countdown to Extinction.
  • Updated terrain, mission difficulty, and added auto-saves for all missions.
  • Updated art and layout of major cities from three of Warcraft’s iconic cities: Dalaran, Silvermoon, and Stratholme.
  • Updated all campaign characters and visual assets.

  • Equip hero skins, choose your favorite portrait, and browse unlockable campaign and matchmaking rewards.

  • Locale support added for Spanish (Latin America) and Portuguese (Brazil).
  • Locale support updated for Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), French, German, Italian, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish (Spain).

Menus and Options
  • Added “Grid” or traditional hotkey layouts.
  • New gameplay settings for unit health bars, team colors, hero status bars, and cooldown display.
  • Classic Account linking to keep your historic wins.
  • Legacy accounts will expire in 90 days, so link as soon as possible.
  • Toggle between Classic and Reforged mode for graphics and campaign content.

Versus - Competitive Matchmaking
  • Queue for heads-up battle with the new matchmaking system for 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, or 4-person “Free For All” melee.
  • Create your group and join 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 together.

Known Issues:

Updated January 28, 2020

Please read on for a list of known issues that we’re working on, and further information about the update.

  • The Loading screen may transition to a black screen if other players are taking longer to load.
  • Ancients ordered to Root do not have a placement sprite.
  • Structures or units that go through an upgrade or transformation do not abide by the rules of ally color mode.
  • Logging in and then out may cause issues with Campaign save data location (game may think you are a new player and start a new save location).
  • We recommend you restart the game after a lost connection.
  • Non-latin characters may overlap at times in campaign dialogue.
  • Custom Maps greater than 256mb will break game lobbies.
  • An error will occur when trying to save options in Offline Mode.
  • The game does not transition gracefully when changing resolution while in Fullscreen.
  • Command + Tab will help achieve the proper aesthetic and correct a related issue with drag select.
  • Custom Keybinds don’t work with non-US keyboards.
  • You are unable to invite friends to play a custom game when playing cross platform.
  • Menu UI experiences low performance at 1440p and above.
World Editor
  • JassHelper doesn’t close when the World Editor is closed.
  • A few Reforged neutral units are invisible.
  • A few doodads are using placeholder cubes.

Hello my fellow WC3 modders!!

I know I've been a little bit busy doing senseless stuff, like takeing some naps, having holidays, fixing some RL issues, and preparing the whole site for the upcoming arrival of WARCRAFT 3 REFORGED!!!!

Let's start from the most important to the less...
First thing first: Happy new year 2020 from!!! I hope this year comes with success in your projects and in your life, obviosly this includes your map projects and other WC3 modding stuff you and me love to do :)

This is not a formal wish, in fact it's related with the announcement from Blizzard that WC3 Reforged will arrive on January 28th of this year. This delay from the promised end of 2019 was the result of issues and a lot of bug fixing in the process. Here's tha map showing the GMT times when this awaited moment will happen:

BETA is growing up. Go go my little baby
Second thing. Now with this in mind, Reforged has been evolving in those days. Starting on November 5th the BETA phase, we've been watching the progress in the game, adding features little by little, fixing something and screwing up another, and the most epic moments in the BETA stage of this game (at least in terms of this site and its interest in the modding part) have been BETA which implemented the custom game functionality, allowing us to see how our favorite mods run in HD quality. As it was expected, a lot of bugs in the visual part plus disconnections in games, have helped Blizzard minions to see the issues and put a great effort in improve the game. About this version I personally can say that it's really slow in a standard computer. The HD feature is nice but if you don't have a Metro Exodus PC rig, testing from the WE to the game itself is a total pain in the ass. In fact I have an I7 with a NVIDIA card and I had to buy a new SSD plus DDR4 RAM in order to run as I was with the old fashioned WC3.

But we now they're in a process to improve the things.

And it's happening, with the version, available since January 9th, they  have implemented the possibility to use classic or reforged assets, with some performance improvements. Well, I've installed that patch and yes, it's more faster, it's running in an average Laptop I have, and yes there's improvements but with new bugs. Did anyone has to enter the net user and password every time it starts a map, or when you test a map??

Some hours ago, we have a new update:, this one is probably the latest one before the release. It tries to fix some issues like:
  • Performance optimizations and stability improvements for menus and gameplay
  • Locale fonts updated

The multiplayer beta for Warcraft III: Reforged begins this week, with limited access to the orc and human races within 1v1 and 2v2 matchmaking. The undead and night elf races, and more game modes will be added in the next weeks.

Invitations to the multiplayer beta will be sent out over the coming weeks. Initial invitations will go out in waves to those who have pre-purchased the Spoils of War edition of the game and subsequent waves of invitations will go to additional players, such as those who have pre-purchased the standard edition of Warcraft III: Reforged.

With this, we hope the hype and emotions related to resurrect this game with all this power of spoilers seen recently.
